After julie's graduation I got to hop on a plane to Australia for a virtual reality workshop at Macquarie University in Sydney.  It took a whole week and was put together by Andy Bealle and Jim Blascovich from UC Santa Barbara.  Very cool stuff.   The first day I got there, I visited with Cassie Govan, Bill von Hippel and his wife Courtney and their kids (all featured in the "Reservoir Dogs with Strollers" shot).  The first picture is from Bill and Courtney's amazing penthouse apartment in Sydney.  We went to the botanical gardens (those are bats in third picture!)  and took a boat ride around the bay.  Very beautiful.  Cassie took me to see kangaroos and koala-bears which apparently are not bears at all and are really just called koalas.  If you ever go, i can't recommend the W hotel enough.  Best hotel I've ever stayed at.  Very cool.
