Julie becomes a doctor of philosophy in clinical psychology!!  The first two pictures are real live dissertation-crunching action shots.  After some preliminary congratulations for finishing her tome, she defended it quite successfully (Alex and I got to witness it firsthand and can attest to her brilliance :)  After the defense, we went for pizza at Grimaldi's and then to a fancy Italian place for dinner.  A couple weeks later, Julie graduated.  The families came in and we all had breakfast at Juniors across from LIU (Long Island University).  The graduation ceremony was great and we were so proud of our Julie who was one of only 10 phd's in a crowd of 1500 graduates and they made a really big deal about the phd being the ultimate educational achievement.  after that we went to morton's in midtown to celebrate the the whole thing and that was fantastic.  great food, great fun.   In the last row, my parents, Pat and Bill; Julie with all her old gradations photos; Julie's parents, Jackie and Warren; my sister Patti and her husband John.  Don't know why we don't have pictures of Jen, Alex and Cas.. hmm...
